My course

Hi!  I’m Sharlene Sierra Catacutan. From Banaba Cerca Indang, Cavite. I’m taking up Bachelor of Science in Agriculture at Cavite State University, Main Campus. The reason why I’m taking up this course is because it’s my father’s choice. My first choice was Criminology but my father told me that I should take Agriculture, because it’s in demand and my father also took Agriculture way back then. At first, I really don’t like the idea of taking up agriculture because I’m shy that when someone ask me what’s my course I always say BSA and they always think that it’s Accountancy. And if I say that no, BSA is Agriculture, they always ask why did I take that course and my answer “It’s my father’s choice”, but as time goes by I learn to like or I should say love this course. When 1st year, 1st semester ended I got a grade of 3, my father ask me if I want to shift a course. I said no because I want to finish what I have started and as I have said I already love my course. One of the reasons was I enjoy being in the field, doing other things that I’m not yet experienced. And it’s more enjoying because I’m with my friends doing such thing. I experience planting and harvesting crops, like “okra, mais, lettuce, etc”. I also experience how to castrate a piglet. To make tocino, burgerpatties, skinless longganisa. And hope so cornbeef. Now, when someone asked me what is my course I’m proudly say “AGRICULTURE”. Being a agriculture student is Fun!  ( Sorry sa grammar :D )
